Crazy Heavyweight Fight, Francis N'Gannou vs Alistair Overeem, Set For UFC 218

Yesterday, this fight was set for UFC 218 in Detroit. Alistair Overeem is obviously a former Strikeforce World Heavyweight Champion and a well respected veteran of the sport who’s still an incredibly big threat to the heavyweight division, while Francis N’Gannou has only had 5 UFC fights ever. But uh, in those fights…this happened:

He’s nicknamed “The Predator” because of his RIDICULOUS killer instinct, and I hope he knocks the head off Overeem, who famously said I “couldn’t fight”.

I’ve been on the N’Gannou bandwagon since his UFC debut and want nothing more than to see him against my good friend Stipe Miocic. I gotta get me one of his sick hats, too.

This card is also supposed to get Max Holloway vs Frankie Edgar for the UFC Featherweight Championship, Sergio Pettis vs Henry Cejudo in the Flyweight Division, and Eddie Alvarez vs Justin Gaethje in the Ultimate Fighter Finale…which would make for a ridiculous night of knockouts. One of those nights where you take a deep breath and accept the fact that you love nothing more than violence in it’s purest form…barbaric human cockfighting.

Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3 was rumored heavily for this card and “confirmed” through a few different bullshit sites, but I’ve confirmed it won’t take place at that date. Looks like that is the next fight for the Notorious one, however. His coach, John Kavanagh, wants to do it on St Patrick’s Day, so while we’re at it, put that shit in Croke Park across the pond. Seventy four thousand lads singing Irish songs while McGregor puts another whooping on the 209 sounds good to me.
